What is the best IT certification to have?

A picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes.

There are a plethora of IT credentials available, but the Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) Certification offered by ISC2 is the monster of all certificates.

There are a variety of reasons why the CISSP certification is one of the most highly sought-after and highly regarded in the information technology sector.

First and foremost, passing the CISSP exam is extremely challenging. The pass percentage is normally something in the neighbourhood of 50 percent. Because of the difficulty of the test, those who are able to pass must be extremely knowledgeable in their field. Because the exam is so mentally taxing, even persons who are quite experienced in the topic of cybersecurity frequently have a tough time passing it.

Second, passing the test is only the beginning of the process. Holders of the CISSP certification must demonstrate that they have the required number of years of full-time experience working in cybersecurity. They must also find someone who will sponsor them and attest for their knowledge and experience in the field.

The CISSP certification, in the end, demonstrates expertise that is not limited to technical areas of cybersecurity. To be eligible for this IT Certification, candidates must have a thorough understanding of cybersecurity management, cybersecurity governance, and cybersecurity policy.
